Fairport Engineering has a long pedigree of developing and delivering engineering projects for the Power, Biomass, Alternative Fuel, Coal, Quarry, Mineral, Cement, Advanced Recycling, Waste, Ports and other heavy industries. Formed in 1982 Fairport Engineering has a history of working with some of the world’s leading companies - Scottish and Southern Energy, Cemex, Saint-Gobain, Lafarge, Tarmac, RWE nPower, Hanson, EDF, Brunner Mond, etc.
Fairport Engineering’s professional expertise is highly valued in developing bulk materials processing and handling projects from concept to handover, partnering with clients through the various project phases. Typical project values are in the range of £20-30 Million with feasibility studies of 200 man hours leading to full FEED assignments often in excess of 2, 500 man hours, that can be carried out on a standalone basis or in conjunction with implanted teams from the client
Fairport Engineering’s overall personnel resource consists of some 60 staff members of whom the majority are professionally qualified. Insofar as staff experience and stability is concerned Fairport Engineering’s average staff age is 52 years and the average length of service is 13 years. Approximately two thirds to three quarters of staff members are office based and are predominantly technical and/or managerial personnel. All Fairport Engineering’s services are based on in-house, multi-disciplinary teams of experienced, professional engineers and managers.
